You know the phrase that refers to people fighting like cats and dogs? Or wait is that about it raining? Anywho, my best friend and I go at it like pitbulls most days. Angry ones, with sharp teeth. At the end of the day though, we always work it out. Its been a little over 8 years and we have been through quite a lot together. I was there when her mom passed away and she was there when my dad got married. I was there when her brother drove his car into a tree and she was there when mine had a baby. We were all there at her sisters wedding and my moms birthday. She was there when I got on my first plane and I was even humble enough to be her armourbearor a few times ;) Our brothers are the girl versions of us and its actually quite a beautiful thing. I remember the first day we met I was 12 years old on a retreat in the middle of nowere and I looked her in the eye and asked why her nails were not done and if I could please cut her cuticles. I don’t know why she chose to be my friend after that but she did. A lot has changed since that day on the lake were I inuslted her hands, but our friendship has remained. And I don’t know of two other people who can say the same, not even within our own church. I don’t know about you, but that’s a freaking testimony.
